Taking inspiration from our surroundings, recording our ideas and playing and experimenting to develop them can bring unlimited possibilities and maximise our creative potential.
Our speakers will discuss how they record ideas, thoughts and processes; how to develop and communicate them. We will learn of the importance of experimenting freely, the beauty of failure and transforming our mistakes into something useful.
Join us for an inspiring evening of talks, a chance to connect with like-minded entrepreneurs and some pre-Christmas nibbles! This is a free event but please register below if you plan to attend.
Emanuela Mae Agrini
We'll be joined by Emanuela Mae Agrini, a web writer from Genoa, Italy with a big passion for sketching and drawing. The union of these two activities led to her blog, Bohemian Wanderer, where she uses words and sketches as a creative way to record stories, events and places and blog about them. She sees mixing words and drawings as a powerful, creative way of recording experiences: starting with a line on paper before merging with the digital world.
Sean Henry Studio
Also joining us is Sean-Henry Fitzsimons who has a background in fashion and knitwear design. He has recently used his passion and skills in pattern-cutting and drafting, combined with his textile expertise to explore textile development. He set up a Knit Lab in Belfast, sampling for the fashion industry and sharing his knowledge with a community of artists and designers.
Sean-Henry's work sits on the barriers of art and fashion and plays with scale and proportion. His approach is experimental, celebrating the beauty in his failures and allowing mistakes to lead him to new designs. His practice is focused on process and developing ideas.
