Continuing our behind the scenes access to the Creative Sector we have arranged an industry visit to Chloe Dougan (Fashion Designer), who is Artist in Residence at the Duncairn Arts Centre in Belfast. The visit will take place on Tuesday 19th November from 10am-2pm. Chloe’s work has been showcased at Buckingham Palace at the Commonwealth Fashion Exchange during London Fashion Week 2018. Chloe also established a drag couture fashion label ‘Call me Sophia’ in 2018. Her work is currently featured on Rupaul’s Drag Race UK on BBC3.
The students have been offered a tour of Chloe’s studio and the current exhibition at the Duncairn Arts Centre. Chloe will give student’s an insight into the inspiration behind her fashion labels alongside teaching students basic hand sewing techniques and getting students involved in a mannequin drape challenge.
The event is free for schools to attend with transport provided (Students must bring their own break & lunch) Places are limited and booking is essential. If you, your school or students would like to take part, please contact us for more information 🙋♀️
