We collaborated on a summer workshop with the Amma Centre to produce a Giant Singing Storybook to be exhibited on the top deck of a London Routemaster red bus during the 7 Hills Blues Festival at the Family Picnic. The project was completed by a group of 8-12 year olds who each designed and created a 2ft x 4ft page of the story. Each page was fitted with a Makey Makey kit, which is an invention tool that allows us to connect everyday objects to a computer using electric circuits. Using conductive paint 'hotspots', the pages are activated by touch and play a recording of each child reading their line of the story. A great example of art meeting technology!
